An investment in fine jewelry is an important event. You want to be assured that your purchase is safe. That’s why we make appraisals for insurance replacement purposes. The other reasons for appraisals concern estate tax, fair market value, comparative, and qualitative purposes, liquidation, equitable and disputed separation of assets and more. All jewelry appraisals are graded to GIA (Gemological Institute of America) standards and are performed in our facilities by a qualified appraiser. Any issues that may need your attention, such as loose gems and worn prongs, will be identified as well. When an appraisal is performed in our facility, Gems of BH guarantees each appraisal has been completed by a fully trained appraiser, assuring the highest standards of quality. The appraisal is given in verbal form. Up to 1 item for free. Additional pieces are charged at $50/item. If you are local, you may select an in-person or online appraisal. If you are not local, your appraisal will be conducted online via Zoom.
